Elephant Mountain Tower has experienced a power outage sometime Friday night July 26 or Saturday morning July 27th, possibly due to a lightning strike. Staff will be flying to this helicopter only site on Tuesday, July 30, to repair equipment that is damaged and return needed electrical power to the broadcasting equipment that runs public safety radio and broadband in the Crystal River Valley.
